Remember that horrible feeling when first stepping out of bed this morning? Argh!!! That sharp, breathtaking pain that radiated all the way to the center of your brain?

How fun would it be to not re-live that experience each morning? Could there be a solution other than pills? Yes!  A new breakthrough technology can now eliminate this morning ritual.

A story about Feet and the trouble they get into

Your feet carry you from here to there every day. You may not think much about them until they hurt. And when they do, you want relief. Most people have simply accepted foot pain as a part of their lives, discomfort is usually a sign that something isn't right. The following will help you identify the problem.

Plantar Fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. The Plantar Fascia is a ligament that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. If you strain your Plantar Fascia, it gets weak, swollen, and inflamed. The heel or the bottom of your foot hurts when you stand or walk. Plantar Fasciitis affects people who are on their feet a good portion of the day.

If you experience a sharp pain in the bottom of the heel when you stand up from a sitting position, you may have Plantar Fasciitis. Plantar Fasciitis can be caused by frequent wearing of flip flops, wearing shoes that are too tight, or shoes that no longer have support. The injury will persist and take longer to heal the longer you abuse your feet.

Extreme burning pain on the ball of the foot and base of toes could possibly be Mortons Neuroma. As fibrous tissue develops around nerves, it becomes compressed and therefore irritated. This is when the burning pain persists mainly in the third and fourth toes.

Ball of Foot Pain could be Metatarsalgia. You feel this pain and inflammation in the ball of your foot. Ill-fitting shoes are the usual cause. But you might get it from strenuous activity, such as running or jumping. It's sometimes called a stone bruise as well.

Fallen arches, or flat feet, happen when the arches of the feet flatten out (often when standing or walking), causing foot pain and other problems.

Neuropathy, or nerve damage in the feet, is most often caused by Diabetes. The pain can be burning, stinging, or feel like electricity. It can happen anywhere in the feet.

Tendinitis is inflammation and irritation of tendons, the bands attaching muscles to bones. Tendons run along all the surfaces of the foot and can cause foot pain in many different locations.

If you have foot pain at night, you may have a different problem, such as arthritis, or a nerve problem such as Tarsal Tunnel syndrome.

For older people, episodes of foot pain and stiffness can be Osteoarthritis. The condition can cause wear and tear in the tissues and joints of the heel and big toe. A less common diagnosis is Rheumatoid Arthritis. The pain in your feet occurs from inflamed joint tissues due to your immune system attacking joints.

What about Toes?

A painful big toe is a sign that you have Gout which is arthritis specifically affecting the joint in the big toe. It occurs from eating too much steak, wine, or any food that is high in purine. Other foods to not overindulge in include fish and some kinds of alcohol. An attack of Gout occurs when uric acid levels rise. Gout is extremely painful!

A Hammer Toe is when your second, third, or fourth toe bends at the middle joint, creating a hammer-like appearance. It can come from a muscle imbalance, but it can also be brought on by wearing ill-fitting shoes.

Claw Toe is when your toe points down or up and is unable to straighten. It's often the result of nerve damage from diseases like diabetes or alcoholism, which weakens the muscles in your foot. Without special footwear to accommodate the claw toe, you may develop irritation and calluses.

A toe sprain may happen when you jam or stub your toe, damaging the tendon or soft tissues of the toe. If you don't have a fracture, the pain and swelling should go away within days.

A toe fracture, or broken bone, can happen in any of the bones of the toes. Minor fractures may only require rest, ice, and pain relievers. Serious fractures may need surgery. Go to a doctor to be sure.

Hallux Rigidus a stiff big toe, is a type of arthritis at the base of the big toe. Symptoms are pain and stiffness of the joint that worsens over time.

Corns and Calluses. Corns are thick buildups of tough skin on a point of irritation or pressure on the foot or toe. They sometimes look like horns. Calluses are wider areas of tough skin buildup on the toes or feet. They are a result of irritation or pressure. Calluses and Corns are generally caused by poor-fitting footwear.
